Developing Shields Scholarship Application

Spring 2026 • Open through Friday, April 10, 2026
The Developing Music Scholarship is designed especially for children ages 6 to 14 who have demonstrated interest and initiative in their elementary or middle school music programs, but have not yet received private music lessons.

The scholarship is 90% funded by the FCC Foundation office, and parents or guardians are responsible for paying the remaining 10% of the cost of the lessons.

Selections in this category are based on written statements by the student as well as public music teacher recommendation. No audition is required. Home school & private school students are also encouraged to apply. See reference section below for additional details. Application deadline is Friday, April 10, 2026.
